Harry Connick, Jr. grew up in New Orleans, and it is here you will find the roots of his love for music and performing. He is a singer, actor, composer, pianist, philanthropist, husband, and father all wrapped up in one. At the age of 3 he learned keyboards and at the age of 5 he began performing. He has had several multi-platinum and gold albums, 25 million albums sold worldwide, Grammy, Tony and Emmy Awards; Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, and so much more. Although music is a big part of his career his family does come first. He has three daughters ranging in ages from 13-19 and a wife he has been married to since 1994.

That Would Be Me is the first album that Harry has stepped out of his comfort zone, both to work with producers Eg White (Sam Smith, Adele, Florence And The Machine) and Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Pink) and to create the cover for the album which is a menagerie of instruments that completely form a picture of his face. I love the way he broke away from the norm. It shows that he can be great at more than just his usual. This album and new sound is such a wonderful change of pace.

My favorite tracks on this album are (I Like It When You) Smile, (I Think I) Love You A Little Bit and Songwriter. (I Like It When You) Smile is full of energy and has a great beat. (I Think I) Love You A Little Bit has a great groove and would be wonderful to slow dance to. I also think that Songwriter is has sort of a cool, funky 70's disco beat and I think the words to this song are sort of funny considering he is a songwriter.

Harry Connick Jr is a great musician and songwriter. I like his style and this new sound is great too. I would recommend this to anyone that loves Harry Connick Jr and wouldn't mind something new and refreshing from him.
